Upcoming Retreats

We are delighted to announce our first VIRTUAL FIRM ROOTS RETREAT DAY via Zoom, on Saturday 31st July 2021, between 10am and 4.00pm.

The theme of the day is 'On the Road to Emmaus' and we will be thinking about Jesus joining us on the journey of our lives. The retreat will include four sessions spread out during the day, to allow you some time to go for a walk or have some quiet, personal space with God. The four sessions will include a chance to listen to some reflections and music; to take part in a share and prayer session if you would like to; an afternoon meditation and a final session and reflection.

Anyone affected by cancer either themselves or as a family member/friend or health professional is very welcome to join the online retreat day. This is an ecumenical Christian retreat, open to people from different denominations and for those not part of a church, but wondering about faith.

There is no charge for the retreat day.

The timetable for the retreat day is:

Session 1 - 10am – 11am - Welcome, worship and a reflection.

Session 2 - 11.30am – 12.15pm - Share and prayer time.

Retreats are ecumenical, Christian quiet days for anyone affected by cancer, as well as families and friends supporting others. It is a chance to pray and reflect, spend time in God’s presence, enjoy music, unwind, take time out, enjoy quiet space, meet new friends & be encouraged. Everyone is very welcome.
